Unlike removable dentures, dental implants are the closest option to a natural tooth. They function just like your own teeth and are a popular choice for tooth replacement.

Natural looking dental implants can be achieved if they are are done by an expert cosmetic dentist.

First, a root form is surgically placed in your jaw. Then, the replacement tooth (or teeth) are placed on the root form(s).

Dental implants are far preferable to complete removable dentures if you are missing all of your teeth. This is because removable dentures have less than 50% of normal chewing efficiency and will lead to gradual bone re-absorption. Eventually, the result can be facial collapse and the inability to fit any kind of denture.

Dental implants eliminate the need to place a crown on healthy teeth or to wear a removable appliance (which can be very uncomfortable).

Before Implants

A missing front tooth can be a very
difficult cosmetic problem for patients.

After Implants

The missing tooth has been replaced
with a dental implant and matches the companion tooth perfectly.
